Eva from Eva & Adele has died: “She went back to the future today”

Eva is dead. Or in the words of Adele, of the recently dazzling couple Eva & Adele : "Eva went back to the future today. She left this world and entered the eternal stage. Her belief in the power of art was infinite. Futuring." That's what it's said on Instagram since May 21. And elusive: a picture of Eva alone, without Adele.
Nobody knows where these two people really come from, what their passport names are, or anything else that is usually part of a biography. On their website and in art catalogs, the only identity given was their height - bust, waist, and hips - instead of a bio. We know that Eva was the tallest; she was 1.76 meters tall. Eva & Adele had been there for many years, it felt like forever. They came and went and spread good cheer with their garish makeup, the exact same glamorous, ladylike costumes, and the bald heads that they both wore. Especially at Berlin art events, but also at the Venice Biennale , Art Basel, in New York, and many other places around the world. It is said that the two only left their apartment together, even to go shopping.
They were simply there, wanting to be art. As living, moving, extravagant real-time sculptures. And in doing so, they promoted gender identities that are undefined, freely flickering. "There is no role more powerful than that of playing and living the opposite sex," Eva & Adele once said. "This is how we are in art and, at the same time, in nature. Our lives become art, and we move in the time machine that forms the central axis of our work."
The clearest sign of wisdom: persistent good moodIn 1991, with their wedding, the inseparables' lifelong and permanent art project officially began; their former lives were put aside. From then on, they had landed in Berlin in a time machine from the future. Their studio was in Berlin-Charlottenburg . In addition to their public art flair, they made photographs, videos, sculptures, and paintings. The paintings and group and solo exhibitions of their works will remain.
Eternal performance – that was their life. And their life a Gesamtkunstwerk. Will Adele now continue the work on her own? A new era is beginning. The art world is already bowing down to Eva; artists and gallerists like Andŕe Schlechtriem are offering their condolences on Instagram. Just the day before yesterday, Eva & Adele posted: "The clearest sign of wisdom is a persistent good mood. (Michel de Montaigne)."
